When I jumped into the world of Shadowhunters with The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, I wasn’t ready to stop the fun in any way. The last book of The Mortal Instruments, City of Heavenly Fire left me wanting more. So when I heard about Cassandra Clare’s new book The Lady Midnight was going to come out this year, I waited and counted the days. That was like one or two long years. And now I finally finished it and I was not disappointed and still want to stay in the Shadowhunter world. Thank you, Cassandra Clare, for this amazing book.
Well if you haven’t dived into The Lady Midnight book yet and still want to know about, it takes place years after The Dark War and last book of The Mortal Instrument. We focus on the main characters Emma, Julian and his siblings in a whole new adventure in Los Angeles. We also are introduced to new characters as well like Christina who comes from the Mexico Institute and Malcolm the High Warlock of Los Angeles. In the book, Emma and Julian must solve a murder mystery where fairies, half humans, and other Downworlders are showing up deadly burned. Emma find these murders has a tie in the mystery surrounding the death of her parents who were murdered when she was a kid.
The book was fun and fed my Shadowhunter craving with delight. If you are someone that loves the Shadowhunters and look for characters that can kick demon butts this is a book for you. Plus if you are a fan then why not? Well, that’s it for the Shadowhunter fandom until my next book review, keep on reading.
