I actually reserved books ahead of time at my local library just so I can read them sooner. So on to my list of Most Anticipating Books of 2017

Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth.

This is one of my top reads because I am a fan of her series for Divergent and been wondering when she will come back with more books. So finally a new book. To learn more about the book click here….

As one of my favorite books last year I was excited to learn it was coming out in January and can’t wait to dive into this time-travel romance adventure and see what would happen next. If you haven’t read the first book called Passenger you can learn more here….

Windwitch (book 2 by The Witchlands) by Susan Dennard. Book 2 from Truthwitch

The last book was so much fun to read and was one of my favorite book covers of 2016. I love fantasy and characters that can control elements. I am hopeful to learn more about the world and see what else it has to offer. If you haven’t read Truthwitch click here to learn more.nd see what else it has to offer. King’s Cage (Book 3 Red Queen) by Victoria Aveyard

This another of my most of anticipated reads because the ended left me at the edge of the seat and the last book was one of my favorites and this series is awesome. I liked getting to learn more about the world and seeing more characters with special abilities. If you haven’t read the last two books try to catch up soon.

My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsell

This is one of my only standalone that I been waiting for and want to read. I read Confessions of a Shopaholic and fell in love with the writing style of Sophie Kinsella and could wait to read another book of hers. Click here to learn more about the book.

Lifeblood (Firstlife Book 2) by Gena Showalter

It actually took me awhile to read to get to the last book but when I read it kept me wanting to learn more about the world and I thought the book was really exciting to read. Fast past and I love the mixture of science fiction and fantasy in a book.

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

As my favorite book of 2016 other than the Red Queen series I this was the most exciting. I loved the world building, the fae, and the characters. The ending left me at the edge of my seat. I got to say as my first time reading a Maas book I was downright impressed.

Lord of Shadows (Dark Artifices) by Cassandra Clare

I thought the first book was amazing and brought me back to the Shadowhunter world again. And after my disappointment of the TV series, this cheered me up. I loved the new characters along with some old ones and can’t wait to see what happens next.Click Here to learn more.

Ash and Quill (The Great Library) by Rachel Caine

I really enjoyed the dystopian fiction book where books are a center piece of the story and I enjoyed the crazy mysteries of the The Great Library. The last book had tons of action and more crazy conspiracy of the The Great Library. Can’t wait for the release.

Origin (Robert Langdon Series) by Dan Brown

Its finally coming out this year. I’ve been waiting for another Dan Brown book since Inferno and I can’t wait to read it. Sadly the new cover has been release yet so I can’t gaze upon it but oh well. What I like about the series is that it’s so well researched that it feels like everything the book seem real. Are you sure it’s fictional?

Those the books I am currently excited to read this year. My list is subjected to increase throughout the year when I discover more new release. So let me know what books you are more excited for and until next time keep on reading.

Top Books of 2016

Its that time again where I must look back at how fast the year went. 2016 was a year of great books, crazy politics and really cheap gas prices. But mostly great books to check out. This year I got to dive in to the world of Sarah J. Maas with A Court Thorns and Roses but also gave Richelle Mead a chance with the first book of the Vampire Academy. I read many great books but as well as not so great books which is mystery on their popularity. Lastly, I finally sat down and read a Harry Potter book for the first time. And I guess now I am an official bookworm. By the way I haven’t decided whether I am a Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. How do you know? Anyway on this post you will find a list of my favorite books of the year. Let me know in the comments below which are you favorite books of the year was.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I waited for this book to come out for a very long time and I was not disappointed to say the least. If you don’t know by now, I am a big Shadowhunter fan. In fact I love the world so much I might get a tattoo to look like Rune. This book brought back the Shadowhunters focusing on the character Emma and Julian who we met in the City of Heavenly Fire and alongside their siblings. The book also made me smile to see some of my favorite characters well. I also like the fact that I got to learn more about the fairy world and see supernatural creatures along with action and funny lines.

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

I picked this book and wasn’t sure if I would be into it or not. But the fact that the book had the element of time travel I wanted to give it ago. I really enjoyed this book and it took me to different time periods. The book also had enough romance for me to enjoy without taking over the whole story. I totally recommend picking it up before the second book comes out.

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

After reading Red Queen I preordered the second book ahead of time and devoured it when I got it. It was so good. Lots of action, danger and plot twist. I liked learning more about the side characters and liked people with special abilities.

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard

If I had to pick an award that fits this book is got to be the most beautiful cover of the year. I mean just look at it. Its drool worthy. On the side note the book was filled with some of my favorite elements…magic, people who have abilities and adventure. I also like the fact that the book was taken over by romance or love triangles. Well so far. Not sure what is in store in the second book.

The Last Girl by Joe Hart

This was a book I got for free as part of the Kindle First Read. I had to pick one of six books and this one spoke to me. And when I read the premise I knew it was something i should read. When I read I couldn’t stop or put it down because it was so good. I like who the book fills you with mystery and action at the same time has you at the edge of the seat. If you haven’t yet picked it up I totally recommend reading it.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Usually when I read the first book in the series it becomes the best book in the series. But when I read A Court of Mist and Fury I completely was blown away. It was way better than the book and let me wanting more of the series. I thought the book was well written and I like the way the author built a world of magic, mystery, and wished that I was a fae. I especially like the main character who was weak at first but than becomes a strong heroine.

Not Dead Yet by Phil Collins

In this memoir I was really excited to read this because I grew up listening to Phil Collins music. The book was intriguing and I couldn’t put down this book. This book also gave me an inside look at the musicians life and how far he come. I also learned about his ups and downs throughout his career and his personal life and hope it affects his music. This is a really great memoir to check out that will keep you feeling inspired write music or play the drums.

December TBR

Hi Readers,I am back from a break and sooner than I thought. Well after long months of unemployment I finally landed a seasonal job at my favorite bookstore. And I also been hard at work with new design projects. Now that I am back I decided to bring in my TBR for the month. Below is a list of books I plan on reading for the month.

Firstlife by Gena Showalter

After finishing The White Rabbit Chronicles last month I wanted to check out her newest book called Firstlife. I really like the cover and love her writing and can’t wait to get my hands on this book.

Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge

After reading the book Cruel Beauty I wanted to pick up another one of her books. From what I heard that its a retelling of Romeo and Juliet. Or maybe its a twist on the love story.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling

I recently started the Harry Potter Series. In fact this is my first time reading the series and I know that I am late to the party of Hogwarts. But I am fashionably to the party. So let me grab my wand and lets learn some wizardry.

This is the list of books I will try to read during the month of December. But I am also on the hunt for a great Christmas book. Got any suggestions? Until my next post keep on reading!

Finishing Reading the Sweep Series

For the last two days, I decided to be strict and just finish reading the last two books of the Sweep Series by Cate Tiernan. This is a series about a teenage girl who finds out she is a witch and then throughout the series, she learns about herself, and about the magical world of Wiccan. I started this series in high school and then finally yesterday I finished it. I felt like I finished a great note and felt like I accomplished something. But I also feel sad to end a series I loved and got to know the world of the character. I wished it didn’t have to end but at the same time, it was time to move on.
