Fall Book Recommendations

It’s fall and it’s the season of pumpkin lattes. And I don’t know about you but this fall is going to be awesome and I can’t read some fall favorites. In this post, I am going to talk about books that are for the fall. This book has a mixture of spooky, dark fantasy, thriller or just anything that I thought was great for the fall. I will add in some lighter books for those that want to be part of the season but aren’t looking to get scared.

BOOK 1: Book of Shadows by Cate Tiernan

This is one of my all-time favorite series. If you are looking for books about witches this is a series to check out. This book is about a girl discovers she is a witch and learns more about where she comes from, learns how to use magic and also tries a live a normal life while avoiding the dangers that make lurk behind.

BOOK 2: Glass Houses by Rachel Caine

If you looking for something with vampires well The Morganville Vampires series is going to give you that. It has great characters, and vampires. This series is about a girl named Claire who goes to college in a small town in Texas called Morganville. Claire soon moves into a house with three roommates and learns as well that the town has a secret. And that secret is that the town is run by vicious vampires.

BOOK 3: Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

Here a series that you should check out if you are looking for something with vampires. I was sucked in from the first book and couldn’t stop reading it. The series is about a girl who loses her parents in a tragic car accident and then moves in with her grandparents. Soon, she ends up meeting a boy named Cal who ends up knowing more about the story behind Allie’s parent’s parents. Eventually, Allie finds out that Cal is zombie slayers and their vicious zombies and Allie ends seeking to avenge her parents.

BOOK 4: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Here is a classic to fill your shelves. I know this book is already well-known but I decided this list needs this book. I figured Frankenstein is great for Halloween if you want something with a monster type of books along with a crazy scientist. When I read it I thought it was way different from the movies.

Book 5: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

My last book is one of my all-time favorites and it’s Neverwhere. This is one of the best Neil Gaiman books that recently got a new cover edition. This book takes place in London and centers around a guy named Richard. Richard has a great life and everything was going great until he runs into a wounded girl on the streets. He tries to help her out but it leads him into more trouble than he expected. The next day she disappears and Richard ends up being invisible. Richard must find a way to get back his life by finding the girl and avoiding those that want her. This also soon becomes an even more twisted dark story.

So that is it for my list of fall favorites. Let me know in the comments below what are your favorites. I am also on social media if you have more you wish to add to the list. Until next time keep on reading.
