Happy New Year! It is finally 2017. I believe that 2016 has flown by fast and was pretty much eventful with crazy wars, elections and the Olympics and so much more. In the month January it is a great time of the year to start with new goals and hopes of what to accomplish. My actually came up with a few. Personally I don’t believe in resolutions and have tried creating them in years past but this year I prefer to just create goals instead. So of my goals include:
Read More Classics
This year I haven’t read enough classics and this year I would like to read a little more. I always had trouble fitting a classic in my reading journey and would like to explore more classic versions of my favorite genres. To check out where all my favorite genres came from. Here are some books I would like to read this year.
Read Different Genres
Sometimes I can get stick reading the same genres a lot so I would like to read more genres. Like explore more mysterious, contemporaries and Horror. I also like to read more memoirs as well.
Book Adapted to Screen
I also would like to try to read as many books before or after I saw the movie. A lot of people say that the book is better than the movie and I would like to have the opportunity to enjoy both mediums.
Finish My Series
I started a lot of series and would like to finish some of them so I can start new ones. Some of my favorites that I would like to finish are:
So to finish off this post I would like to know what your reading goals are this year. Are you looking to add more genres to you TBR, read more or just read more diversely? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time keep on reading.
This weekend is Labor weekend I created a TBR List of books I am planning on reading. Originally I was going out of town but due to poor weather it was cancelled. Luckily I have the books that was planning to read for the trip at home and ready to go. So I decided to read a few books. I will be finishing Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman, Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella, and The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler. This week I was in the mood for chick flicks and wanted to read some that had a movie adaption to so I can read them later. So here is the question for you guys. What books are you reading for Labor Day? What are your plans? Are you going to beach or just chilling out with friends? Well until my next post keep on reading.
